 Manage Anxiety at Work Coaching

Who Signs Up for Coaching to Help Manage Anxiety at Work?

Many people experience anxiety at times in their professional life. It’s only normal to feel some anxiety ahead of making an important presentation to a large crowd of industry colleagues or before an interview for a position that you’ve set your heart on. However, if you’re able to acknowledge your anxiety on such occasions, show up anyway and not have anxiety adversely affect your performance then your anxiety may even have served you by ensuring you prepared well and turned up on time.

However, if you often feel anxious or stressed in your professional life and it prevents you from meeting deadlines, getting across your views effectively with those around you and specifically your higher-ups, making decisions, making telephone calls, progressing in your career or if it disrupts your eating or sleeping then it may be time to learn how to better cope with your anxiety.

People who sign up for coaching to help them manage their anxiety or stress at work are often desperate to share their story of anxiety with someone who will hear them, empathise and seek to understand their experience. Some senior professionals and managers feel ashamed that outwardly they appear to be successful and in control and yet they are dogged by anxiety. Opening up to a qualified and experienced coach and counsellor means you'll have a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can learn how to better deal with your anxiety.
