Hello and a very warm welcome to Career Reinventors 40+. It’s Trudy here executive coach and psychotherapist.
Mission
Career Reinventors 40+ supports midlife professionals, business leaders and business owners to achieve their full potential in the middle stages of their working lives. I offer executive coaching, career coaching and psychotherapeutic counselling. The career situations, needs and potential choices you face mid career are typically more diverse and perhaps more complex than those of recent entrants to the professional work place. This can mean that finding the right executive coach, executive career coach or counsellor to support you can be challenging. It's also why I founded Career Reinventors 40+!
What Type of Executive Coaching or Work-Related Counselling do You Need?
It can be confusing to work out what kind of coaching you as a senior professional need so I provide a few pointers below. It’s also worth bearing in mind that these areas often overlap in my clients' working lives. Because I have more than 20 years experience and have both advanced coaching and psychotherapeutic counselling qualifications, my coaching and support offer is flexible enough for you to cover topics across these different segments.
Executive Coaching
Executive coaching can help you with any challenges in your current role. This includes both ‘content’ – what you are doing e.g. putting together a strategic plan, and also the ‘process’ – how you are working e.g. how you prioritise, how you manage stakeholders, how you build relationships, building soft skills like leadership, assertiveness, influencing and growing your impact.
Executive Career Coaching
Executive career coachingcan help you with any issues related to your career. This includes developing plans and goals to move your career forward, executive job seeking, career progression and promotions, career change, career transitions and career reinvention.
Work-Related Counselling and Wellbeing
Work-related counselling and wellbeing can help you explore, gain insight and work through the emotional aspects of your experience at work and your working environment. This might include your experience of workplace relationships, workplace bullying, managing stress, dealing with work-related anxiety or work-related depression, work addiction and work life balance.
Online Executive Coaching, Online Career Coaching, Online Counselling
As an ambitious professional you want a top executive coach or top executive career coach who you trust to support you, help you gain insight and achieve your goals. You also know that your local executive coaches, career coaches and counsellors aren't necessarily the best qualified or 'best fit' for you.
I offer online, remote and face to face executive coaching, executive career coaching and work-related counselling.
Online executive coaching with modern technology means you 'see and hear' your coach clearly, but you won't need to allow for travel time to your sessions, so you’ll find them easier to schedule. You can also work with me from anywhere in the world.
As your online executive coach or executive career coach. I can help you step up to greater success in your career and to feel more fulfilled and happier at work.
A Psychodynamic Approach to Executive Coaching
Executive coaches who rely solely on their business experience or coaching tools can be ill-equipped to help you achieve long-lasting change and growth. Such coaches are likely to focus solely on helping their clients to set goals – but that’s not enough.
If your executive coaching is to be successful, it must help you engage with your unconscious resistance to change. It must help you gain deep insight about yourself and how you operate. It must help you to find ways to overcome your resistance to change. I coach with a psychodynamic orientation which recognises the importance of the unconscious in facilitating self-awareness and growth. Working with me as your psychodynamic executive coach, you’ll learn about the relationship between your instinctive drives and your goals. You’ll also develop the skills to ‘step back’ from those drives to a calmer more centred place, from where you can set and achieve goals that are more meaningful and authentic for you.
